Harvard Museum of Natural History
Best known for the astonishing Blaschka Glass Flowers, plus halls of dinosaur skeletons, taxidermy, meteorites, and sparkling gems and minerals. A short detour across the river that rewards visitors of all ages. Practical note: in Cambridge on the Harvard campus, a 7-10 minute walk from the Harvard Square Red Line stop; admission includes the adjacent Peabody Museum.
