A sprawling 216-acre zoo in the western suburbs, known for naturalistic habitats, a dolphin presentation, and immersive exhibits like Tropic World and the Great Bear Wilderness. It's larger and more spread-out than Lincoln Park Zoo. It's a drive or Metra trip out of the city; plan a full day and wear good shoes.
