DuSable Black History Museum
The nation's oldest independent museum of African American history and culture, in Washington Park on the South Side, with art, artifacts, and exhibitions on the Great Migration and Chicago's Black history. It's named for the city's Haitian-born founder, Jean Baptiste Point DuSable. A meaningful, often-overlooked stop near the U of C.
