Lincoln Park Zoo

A 35-acre zoo inside Lincoln Park and one of the last free major zoos in the country, with gorillas, lions, a polar bear, and a farm-in-the-zoo, all minutes from downtown. It's an easy, no-ticket outing. Combine it with a lakefront walk or the conservatory next door; it's open 365 days a year.
