Our experienced Rangers teach the ethics of fishing and the ecology of our waterways. Join us as we fish for and learn about invasive fish species in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, with a special focus on the Northern Snakehead. During this hands-on program, we’ll discuss how invasive species like snakeheads arrive in urban ecosystems, why they pose a serious ecological threat, and how anglers and the public can play a role in monitoring and managing their spread. Ages 8 and up.
