Prospect Park

Brooklyn's answer to Central Park — and the work designers Olmsted and Vaux considered their masterpiece — with the rolling Long Meadow, a lake, ravine woodlands, and a small zoo. Locals come to picnic, run, and catch summer concerts at the Bandshell. It's ringed by brownstone neighbourhoods; pair it with Park Slope or the Brooklyn Museum next door.
