Golden Gate Bridge & Welcome Center

San Francisco's most iconic landmark, the 1937 International Orange suspension bridge spanning the strait between the city and Marin. Walk or bike across the pedestrian path for sweeping bay views, or stop at the Welcome Center for exhibits and a photo of the south tower. Practical note: the Welcome Center is open daily 9am-6pm; the bridge is often foggy in summer afternoons, so come in the morning for clearer views.
