National Air and Space Museum

The Smithsonian's flagship aviation and space museum holds the world's largest collection of historic aircraft and spacecraft, from the Wright Flyer to the Apollo 11 command module. A multi-year renovation is finishing through 2026, with newly reopened galleries adding to the appeal.
