United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
A deeply moving national memorial and museum documenting the history of the Holocaust through personal artifacts, testimony, and immersive exhibits. The experience is sobering and powerful; budget two to three hours and consider it not appropriate for young children. Practical note: admission is free, but free timed-entry passes are required for the Permanent Exhibition during peak months (March–August).
